Welcome to a Net zero webinar for hydrogen
Bending the cost curve in clean hydrogen production
If we use them right, clean hydrogen and its derivatives could cover 20% of the world’s energy demand by 2050. The market has experienced strong momentum in recent years, thanks to hydrogen’s potential both as a feed chemical for clean fuels, and as an energy carrier. However, there are still challenges that the market must overcome for hydrogen and its derivatives to be deployed at scale.
In this webinar about hydrogen, Alfa Laval experts are joined by representatives from Lhyfe and CEA Liten, two key stakeholders in the clean hydrogen area. We deep-dive into the main challenges and the actions needed to accelerate the implementation of clean hydrogen and the journey towards Net zero.
Topics
- Bending the cost curve: The cost of producing clean hydrogen and its derivatives is still high compared to fossil fuels. How do we make clean hydrogen cost-competitive?
- Regulatory barriers: Current regulatory frameworks slow down hydrogen implementation at both national and international level. What fundamental policy changes must be implemented, and how can clean hydrogen projects achieve global policy support?
Meet the speakers:
Sara Wihlborg Sara oversees Lhyfe's operations and strategic initiatives in Sweden, with focus on the expansion and integration of green hydrogen infrastructure. Sara is an energy expert and experienced leader, who has worked with all types of energies and fuels. She is now fully committed to hydrogen. |
Julie Mougin In addition to her role at CEA Liten, Julie is a Board member of Hydrogen Europe Research for hydrogen production. She is an electrochemist with a PhD in materials science. Before joining CEA, Julie worked in the field of materials for energy and automotive markets. |
Luciana Mendes Luciana specializes in water for renewable hydrogen. She is a chemical engineer with 14 years of experience in industrial projects. Luciana strongly believes in the role of green hydrogen in the world economy for decarbonization, and the importance of water in making the process more sustainable. |
Rickard Johansson Based in the office in Lund, Rickard is responsible for Alfa Laval’s hydrogen business development. He has worked in the renewable energy and process industry for 14 years, focusing on heat transfer and energy efficiency. Rickard is passionate about technology and the decarbonization journey towards net zero. |
